MOVICOL® is a treatment for constipation

HOW MOVICOL® WORKS

  • MOVICOL® sachets contain a white powder that you need to mix with water before taking
  • MOVICOL® carries the water to the bowels where it softens and bulks the poos, making them easier to pass
  • It may take a day or so for MOVICOL® to work. Half of patients experience a bowel movement in 24 hours

HOW TO TAKE MOVICOL®

Dosage: The usual dose of MOVICOL® is 1-3 sachets per day in divided doses for constipation. Your doctor, nurse or pharmacist will have chosen a dosage to suit your needs according to your expected response (decrease the number of sachets if the poo becomes watery, and increase (to a maximum of 3 sachets) if you require more relief). Always read the label.
